Best of Sydney

Updated: Sep 28, 2019

I must bring this up before I start, Singapore Airlines is the best ever. I have never been more comfortable or pampered on an airplane. Anyway, the one thing I was most excited about while visiting Sydney was seeing the legendary SCG- Sydney Cricket Ground. Being a huge cricket fan like most Indians, I enjoyed my guided walking tour on the history at SCG and looking at the immense contributions of the best cricketers in the world. The cherry on the top? We were surprised by the staff with the chance to meet Australian cricketing star, Stuart MacGill!

Sydney’s hop on hop off bus (the Red Bus) is the best way to be a tourist here. I made a quick visit to hunter valley known for its wineries & delicious food. No trip to Sydney is complete without a visit to the region's icon the Opera house. But what I recommend is not just marveling at the structure from the outside but to catch an Opera performance if you can. It is, in a word, magical. I topped this off with a Sydney harbor bridge climb in the sparkling Sydney twilight.
